I am always receiving emails from friends, fellow fotogs, about photography contests.
I wanted to pass along a link for the The 12th International AGFAnet Photo Award.
The theme this year is "water". The closing date for entries is July 23, 2004.
Why the heck not see what you can come up with and submit an image that fits their guidelines...there are some interesting prizes and who knows, you might just win.
Just click on this link and best of luck to you all!

Rule #5 says:
5. Agfa reserves the right to purchase prize-winning photos for its own use.
I would encourage anyone who wants to enter to get in writing what this comment means.
A lot of these "competitions" will have a statement like this, and end up stealing copyright or giving themselves unlimited usage for unlimited time, not allowing the photographer to liscense the usage to anyone else.

Good point, Ryan. It is really important to read the rules of contests, especially the parts reguarding copyrights and usages after submission.
