Photobloggers: Help Tsunami Victims

Thu, December 30th, 2004 by beerzie boy

The tsunami is an unprecedented disaster and will require billions of dollars to assist the victims in rebuilding their lives. I urge all photobloggers to spread the word about donating whatever they can to help these unfortunate people. No donation -- or mention -- is too small or meaningless.

For our part, Marshall Sokoloff donated some of his wonderful prints to us from his extraordinary Three Sisters gallery, and we are going to donate all the proceeds from the sale of these prints to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to aid tsunami victims. If you or someone you know is in the market for some beautiful images, please check these out.  Thank you.

This and other gestures like it are what makes humanity truly humane and admirable. More power to Marshall and the people of File in their efforts to help the people who have suffered in this terrible tragedy.

Excellent idea... This post and many hours of late night news have me convinced to do what I can and I am launching a new web gallery of images from Southern Asia and I will donate 100% of profit to the relief efforts.

Heather, I've followed your lead (hope you don't mind) and added links to the major charities on my site. I'm not sure if anyone will want one of my prints badly enough to donate £20 but everything helps.

Zombina, photoblogs.org isn't associated with photoblogs.be at all. I don't know how you would delete your account, sorry.
