SFist: Photogs Of The World: Unite!So
Jackson West's organized photo shoot went off without a hitch on
Saturday. SFist has been covering the ongoing question of photography
within the SF Muni system and it is nice to see that that Jackson and
20 or so other photographers were allowed to have their fun on
Saturday. Derek Powazek has a very nice photo of Jackson from the protest (god I wish I could take photographs like that guy). Here is a link to Muni's response to Steve Malik,
the original photographer harrased by the cops. Personally I think they
should be more explict about photography being permitted in Muni.
Although I've never had a problem taking photos in Muni, it was nice to
see people respond and draw attention to Steve's problem and the issue
of public photography in general.

That's great, I'm glad a good time was had by everyone and hopefully went some way towards showing that there's nothing to be worried about a few people with cameras.
