So, I finally remembered I had a flickr account, one that I started a (long) while back and just...procrastinated visiting, uploading to...anything.
But, I finally started uploading, then someone, a contact who I won't name, sent me a Pro Account for a year, so I thought..."this is good, I'll post stuff there I don't post on my own site and some of what I do..."
Then, I finally started surfing around people's images, adding favs, and I came across the most indelible images by someone posting on flickr, and I thought, "I'll pass along the link to the images that made me stare, continually, and come back for more..."
José Silva Pinto's images are fantastic in my book. Xlnt detail in every shot, a strong focus on using the tones in a b&w image to set the mood, enhance the emotional punch of his photography...every shot is a cracker of a shot.
One of José Silva Pinto groups images, Cem Tons, has 21 images that are still lingering in my memory.
Just go have a look for yourself...if you like great photojournalism, and some that speaks of D. Lange, E. Bubley, E. Smith, you must view each folder.

Fantastic work...I am amazed..he looks like living in Angola. It is so nice to find someone from a poor and forgotten place appearing and having his work highlighted here..Very good..Great people in his shots..Very expressive eyes and faces...
Nice find...Thanks for sharing

Wow.....I work for a newspaper, surrounded by photojournalists. These are really wonderful, solid images. I'm just wondering, this blog and Mexican Pictures - how do I get a gig that will take me to such exotic places? I've bookmarked this to return again. Thanks.
