Yes, it's a pic of a baby, but look at it! Delightful.

Yes, this is a cliché buster! Amazing mood, color, and texture.

Very strong, I'd say. Good composition and lots of character captured here...

What an arresting portrait! Yes, the illumination and shallow focal depth are superb - but what mesmerizes me is the startlingly wise (and slightly sad?) expression captured on this baby's face.

Not one for people shots usually, especially baby shots, but this is one the best shots I've seen this year.
It encapsulates many differant aesthetic and thematic elements leaving me a little disturbed, yet I cannot look away. The lighting, colours and depth of field are spot on and it hints at Victorian images with a hand coloured feeling to it, a nice use of syntax.
Haunting is a good description, I love the ghostly, almost deathly feeling, especially once one knows when and where it was taken, creating conflicting emotions as to why the image impacts as it does.
Well done, an excellent shot.

Yes, the image is a far cry from the pictures that one normally sees of babies, where soft focus seems to be the rule rather than the exception.
He looks knowing. A little alien. A supreme being. He is beautiful.

Amazing I must say. One of the best people shots I've ever seen.
