'Create Yout Own Photoblog' is a new book by Catherine Jamieson about creating and running your own photoblog.
Here's what Catherine has to say:
"'Create Your Own Photo Blog' published by Wiley and released by
Amazon on March 27. It will be in all major bookstores on April 10.
People will be able to thumb through a book at Chapters and Barnes and
Noble, for instance, and see our work - which is pretty cool. Barnes
and Noble have agreed to a premium in-store placement and it will be
contained in their monthly newsletter."
The book features many of our members and is available now!

Interesting. I'll have to get my local B&N to get a copy in the store so I can check it out. I'd like to what all she has to say for sure.

I don't know if people need a book on how to create a photo blog. When I look through photo blogs I feel people have a bigger need for a book on how to take better pictures

I needed a book on blogging when I first put my blog together and still could use one in regards to the template.

I sure do hope it has some technical/coding information. While I guess I can photograph well enough, I still can't code and there are still a few issues on my blog I wish I could fix up and after that create my portfolio website as a whole. Thanx for the heads up!

The book addresses both areas, how to create your site but also gives tips on how to fill it, there's a chapter of photo tips fvor inspiration for example.

My husband laughed when he found out that I had purchased the book. I have been developing websites for years and he couldn't comprehend why I needed a book to help me figure out how to set up a photoblog. I don't regret purchasing it at all. For one thing, it's always interesting to me to "look under the hood" and see how other people set up their websites. In this case, I learned some things that made maintaining my site a lot easier and more efficient. Also, there's a great section on how to spread the word about your website and how to connect with other photographers. My favorite section of the book provides 100 creative photo ideas.

Goggle makes a nice tool that you can use to add photo's to your blog. Called Picasa. It can help automate the creation of a blog.
