Photoblogs on Last FM

Wed, April 12th, 2006 by Miles

Our good friend Chrys just set up a Photoblogs.org group on Last.fm. Feel free to join the group. It will be interesting to see what music photobloggers listen to:

Not sure how it finds the songs or how volatile the playlist is, but so far the group radio station seems pretty good.

Isn't there a little app you download that reports back to the group what you're listening to, whether it's the radio station or your own itunes library? And I think the radio station playlist is compiled from those preferences.

Yeah, it's all based off of what everyone in the group is listening to, but I'm just curious how quickly the playlist can change depending on who joins the group from day to day. In other words, maybe it could be a good playlist one day and maybe the next day it might suck? Not sure. I'm still pretty new to the site.

In any event, it's fun to play around with... the Last.fm site is one of the finest examples of community design that I've seen in a long time. I'm enjoying figuring out how it's all put together.

I'm not sure it keeps track of the group tracks as well? I know it does for an individual with use of AudioScrobbler, but im not sure about group tracks...

When I listened to the group radio it add those in my 'charts' as well as tracks from itunes.

I hope the group charts show up soon... I'm really getting curious! (Looks like it takes a week for them to show up.)
