Chernobyl Legacy

A remarkable photo-documentary by photographer Paul Fusco about the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster. This is a beautifully produced, sometimes shocking and always effecting piece about the children born of Chernobyl. This is the kind of thing which really opens your eyes and your heart.

Wow. Some haunting photos... I'm reading 'Blindness' by Jose Saramago, so some of these pictures fit right in with my mood.

    This is great photojournalism.
Looking for truth, when hidden by official institutions, and showing it as it is, in its simple and dramatic evidence.

Chernobyl, one of the most polluted places. Here http://pripyat.com/en/photo_gallery/ - more than 6000 photos from

this territory. More than 20 years passed, but knowbody knows exactly what is going on there. Also there are

    articles, ivestigations, news

The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone is a fascinating place to visit.

I visited the area for two days in June 2006 with a former resident of Pripyat.
We got a tour of the Chernobyl Plant (including the Reactor 4 control room),
several of the abandoned villages, and Pripyat. I have posted a photo journal
    of my trip at:
