I found the story of a man who took a Polaroid a day until he died, via Digg. Amazing and touching.
Yesterday I came across a slightly mysterious website — a collection of Polaroids, one per day, from March 31, 1979 through October 25, 1997. There’s no author listed, no contact info, and no other indication as to where these came from. So, naturally, I started looking through the photos. I was stunned by what I found.
The original site is currently down, but you can read the story on the blog that found it. And there's more info on Wikipedia.

Thanks for the link, Craig.. Amazing, the collective power of individual photographs.Shame it had such a sad ending.
