Every year a group of photobloggers get together in a different European city to share some laughs, visit a pub or two, and otherwise do their photography thing. This year it's all taking place in the spectacular city of Berlin! The 2007 event will be the weekend of September 7-9, so get on over to the website and check it out...
There's photos, maps, announcements, links, discussions, and all that good stuff. (I've been to the past two events and, hot damn, what fun!)

As many of you have heard by now, the 2nd Annual North America Photobloggers Meet-up was held April 27-29 in Chicago, USA. Photobloggers from coast to coast gathered in the Windy City for a weekend full of fun, food, friends and, of course, Photos! The events of the weekend included an evening of cocktails at the historic restaurant, 17 West at the Berghoff, followed by a night walk around the city. The next morning we gathered again for a group photo at The Bean in Millennium Park:
After an hour or so of clicks and giggles, we broke off into groups for various walking tours of Chicago, including a history lesson around the Loop led by photoblogger Devyn Caldwell, and a trip out to an abandonded candy factory led by photobloggers Michael Chu and Thomas Marlowe.
Later that evening we went to the Apple store on Michigan Ave for a presentation, slide show, prize give-aways, and we announced the winners for the 2007 Photobloggies! Two winners were even there to accept their awards: Kathleen Connally, of A Walk Through Durham Township, winner of the Best American Photoblog, and Andy Adams of Flak Photo, winner of Best Kept Secret. All winners received a Lensbaby 2.0 and a one year subscription to JPG Magazine.
Sunday Morning, for one last hurrah, we all had brunch together at Puck's at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The food was excellent and the company was even better...a fantastic end to a spectacular weekend! New friendships were made, and old friendships were reinforced and lots of fun was had by all.

It's getting close, folks...
The NAP Meetup 2007 will be held this month, on April 27-29th in Chicago, USA. You really don't want to miss this event. We have a lot planned, including a Meet & Greet to get to know one another, guided photo-tours around Chicago, a slide show and print swap, brunch at Puck's Restaurant at the Museum of Comtemporary Art, and we'll also be announcing the 2007 Photobloggies winners!
For slide show submissions, you can visit the NAP Flickr group to find out more details. You are allowed to upload up to three images for the slide show we'll be presenting of the prints available for the print swap. But hurry...the extended deadline is 11:59 PM Eastern, Sunday, April 15, 2007.

It's that time of year again...the Photobloggies are finally upon us!
This year, the winners will be announced live at the 2nd Annual North America Photobloggers Meet-up in Chicago. We’re looking forward to meeting many of you in Chicago over the weekend of Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29th for the event.
Visit the 2007 Photobloggies site today to nominate the best of the best! The nomination process will be open for the next 14 days (until Feb. 15!), then our panel of judges will vote for the final winners. Nominations are open to everyone and should be for websites that were online during 2006.

On October 19, the Barcelona Photobloggers held their first public exhibition at the Fotonauta Gallery, titled "De la red a la pared" ("From the net to the wall"). Twenty-two photographers came together to display more than 300 pictures.

It was a great night at Fotonauta Gallery on October 19th, with the Barcelona Photobloggers exhibition. Not only did we get to see many photographs, we also met some fellow photobloggers while having a drink. Visitors were also able to bid on some photographs, which was quite cool.
If you missed the exhibition last week, you can still visit through November 9th (Monday to Friday).
David, Fran, Marcelo, Clea and Oscar would like to thank all the photobloggers involved, and Santiago and Joana for hosting the exhibition.

Barcelona Photobloggers leaves the online world to launch its first group exhibition titled "De la red a la pared" ("From the net to the wall") on October 19th at 8.30 in the evening. A total of 22 photobloggers will be showing more than 300 pictures at Fotonauta Gallery (Vic Street 15 in the Gracia Quarter in Barcelona) until November 9th.
Included in the exhibit are works from photoblogs such as Ayer fue miercoles, Baldiri, Barcelona, C.Pasadas, Day 2 Day Captivations, Deambulations, Desenfocado, Desnivell, Elrostro, En la recamara, Fnowp, Fotoxic, Fotototi, Imatges, justPictures, Lluis Gerard, Miramelas, Monica Guerrero, Nitifixis, Nocturama, Paco L. Gimenez, and Safaris Urbans.
All pictures will be put up for auction during the exhibition with a starting bid of 5 euros.

Now that I'm back home from Amsterdam (and my hangover has worn off), I'd like to send out a big public thank you to Rachel and Lynn for hosting the wonderful 2006 Europe Photobloggers Meetup this past weekend. It turned out to be an amazing weekend full of amazing people (can't really ask for more than that.) Well done Rachel and Lynn!

I'm just in awe that people from all over Europe (and the world) can get together like this. Thanks to everyone who came out and made this such a successful event. I'm already looking forward to next year... wherever that may be.

The second annual Europe Photobloggers Meetup is less than a month away in Amsterdam. Join us Friday, September 22, 2006 to Sunday, September 24, 2006 for a wonderful chance to meet and hang out with some of your fellow amazing photobloggers from across the globe. The attendees list has grown a bit since our last reminder, and please be sure to add your name if you haven't already. The itinerary now includes the kick off photo exhibit at Galerie Buuf. If you are attending be sure to send your files for the exhibit by September 8, 2006 as outlined here.
We can't wait to see those of you who are coming and would like to thank Rachel, Chrys, Lynn, and all of the European Photobloggers who are working hard behind the scenes to coordinate this marvelous event. Oh, of course we will be documenting such an historic occasion (we are photographers after all). If you can't make it, we will share all the fun links after all have been well rested from the festivities.
